Precision Erection Systems for Cases and Cartons

The integrity of a packaging line is established at the very first station. Our erection systems are engineered to replace manual assembly with mechanical certainty. By ensuring every container is squared and sealed with absolute consistency, you eliminate the slight misalignments that frequently cause downstream jams in high-speed food, Pharma, and FMCG environments.

The Case Erector: Synchronised Mechanical Flow

Our Case Erectors manage the complete transition from a flat corrugated blank to a structural, ready-to-fill shipper. This is achieved through a series of coordinated functional assemblies. The process begins at the Magazine, which feeds blanks to a vacuum-based Plucker. The blank is then moved to the Former for shaping, followed by the Flap Closing Unit and the Bottom Tape Sealer. Finally, the Output Conveyor transfers the finished case to the packing stage.

Scalable Control and Output

We offer two distinct control philosophies to match your facility’s throughput requirements. For reliable, standard operations, our Pneumatic Control System maintains a steady output of 10 to 12 shippers per minute. For facilities requiring higher speed and more refined motion, our Servo-Based Control System increases performance to a range of 12 to 17 shippers per minute.

High Precision Carton Erection for Sectors Specialised

Beyond standard shippers, we provide a specialised solution for lock-bottom cartons. Designed for high precision forming, this system operates within a compact footprint of 1709 mm by 1520 mm. The modular design includes a dedicated chassis, safety guards, and a specialised Picture Frame Assembly that holds the blanks securely during the vacuum-based plucking process.

Solving the Dual Orientation Challenge

A significant innovation in our carton erector is its ability to handle dual SKU orientations. Unlike conventional machines that are limited to a single direction, our system supports both left-hand and right-hand opening styles. This mechanical flexibility allows you to manage multiple SKUs on a single line with total reliability, even when your production schedule requires frequent changes in carton dimensions.

Safety Standards and Operational Continuity

Operator protection is built into the architecture of our systems, which are all CAT 6 Safety Compliant. To ensure continuous productivity, the system utilises an automatic restart feature. Once an operator refills the magazine with blanks, the machine resumes its cycle immediately without manual intervention. This minimises downtime and reduces the need for constant operator supervision.

Case Study

Ice Cream Shipper Forming

Client Challenge
A high-output ice cream manufacturing facility was facing frequent carton misalignment during manual shipper forming. This resulted in jamming at the packing stage, inconsistent box strength, higher manpower dependency, and unplanned downtime making 24-hour operations difficult to sustain.

Bector Automation RML’s Solution
We engineered and deployed a servo-based case erector with integrated bottom taping, purpose-built for continuous dairy operations.
The system automates shipper picking, forming, flap folding, and precise bottom taping, while supporting multiple shipper sizes. Designed for 3-shift production, it integrates seamlessly with downstream conveyors and requires only periodic magazine refilling.

Outcomes Delivered

  • 2X improvement in line throughput
  • 45% reduction in manual dependency
  • 99.9% erection accuracy across multiple shipper sizes
  • Stable 24×7 operation with minimal operator intervention
  • Consistent shipper strength for cold-chain transportation
